Obscura is a trip into the seductive darkness. A night in which mystery presides, and the concealed becomes the source of greatest longing. From the Latin obscūrus, or "dark," "hidden," or "secret," Obscura invites you to take pleasure in what lies just out of sight: a peek behind the mask, a whisper from behind the veil, the thrill of knowing only what you're allowed. Here, concealment becomes kink, and every layer concealed an opportunity to harm, to fantasize, to yearn. Because in the dark, we do not lose ourselves, we find longing. What is hidden ought to be given light.

As a collective of the curious and creative, we insist on thoughtful attire. Dress in ways that observe what is meaningful for you. Unsure of what to wear? We always welcome black, red, and/or white semi-formal dress or fetish wear—latex, leather, lace, and beyond. Explore our moodboard for more inspiration.

As always, we’ll be providing an open bar with thoughtfully crafted cocktails and NA options, simple mixed drinks, and a selection of wines. No BYOB necessary.

About Société Anonyme

Our parties were conceptualized with an intention to curate a more refined celebration of the bizarre. Our founders aim to craft experiences that cater to the fetishist who yearns for more from a kinky gathering. This Is A Members Only Event

You must be an approved Société member prior to purchasing tickets. If you are not a member, or your membership is revoked prior to the party, your ticket will be refunded. Follow this link for the membership application form.

If you are bringing a guest to this event, they must also be an approved member of Société. There are no unapproved +1s or guests permitted.

Wear Your Pin!

Every member receives a black and gold Société Anonyme “eye” logo pin. This is your key to entry. You must wear it or at least bring it with you. Our door queen will be checking upon your exit from the elevator.

New members or members who have never enjoyed one of our events will have a pin waiting for them at the door. Just mention this to the door queen.

If you’ve lost your pin, a complementary one-time replacement pin will be available for you at the door. Ask the door queen. Subsequent loss will incur a fee — and we’re not talking about money!

Location

Discretion and privacy protects us all. Exact address will be revealed to ticket holders, but in the meantime, you can plan to rendezvous with us at a large private loft in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn (ifykyk). Please do not share the location with anyone outside of the Société!

Refunds

If you have purchased a ticket, but cannot make it for any reason, please email at societeanonyme.nyc@gmail.com as soon as possible. We will review your individual situation and in most cases allow you to use your purchased ticket for a future event.
